It doesn’t get much hipper than Heady Topper. The notoriously tough-to-find brew from Waterbury’s The Alchemist has been flying off store shelves for over a year now, a Holy Grail for out-of-state beer nuts and a source of pride for in-the-know locals.
So it’s small wonder owners Jen and John Kimmich of Stowe are ramping up production at The Alchemist’s cannery, just off Route 100 on Crossroad in Waterbury. Heady fans can sleep easy knowing the couple plans to double and then triple production in coming weeks.
